Station 41 was dispatched for a head-on collision involving a car and a van type truck in the 200 hundred block of Main Street Vandling. Captain 41A first on scene and reported no entrapment but noted that several occupants had injuries. Responding units included 41 rescue, ambulances 41-8 and 41-9, Engine 43, Mobile 9 and Waymart ambulance.
Three of the Car’s occupants were evaluated on the scene, packed and transported to CMC by 41-8, 41-9 and the mobile unit.
A forth car occupant, who walked to a relative’s house, generated another call for medical treatment necessitating mutual aid from Waymart Ambulance. Rescue 41 responded from the accident scene as a QRS while Engine 43 provided traffic control and clean up until the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
Upon arrival of Waymart, the patient was packaged and transported to the trauma center.
All units were back in service by 0505 hrs. A great job done by all.
